Crayola and Kickstart team up with Emily Calandrelli and Maria Pepin to Create the Impossible
We are thrilled to share that we've teamed up with Crayola Studios, Maria Pepin and Emily Calandrelli on a new STEAM series for kids - Create The Impossible
Crayola Studios has clinched a development deal with Kickstart Entertainment for a live-action STEAM-focused series for kids.
Create the Impossible is co-created by Emily Calandrelli, an astronaut and MIT engineer turned science TV host, and Maria Pepin. The deal was revealed at the Kids’ Content Development Initiative at the Bentonville Film Festival.
Sabrina Wiewel, EVP and head of Crayola Studios, said, “Creativity is one of the most powerful forces in a child’s life, and Create the Impossible perfectly captures the spirit of Crayola by turning imagination into action. We are delighted to develop the show with Kickstart Entertainment, Maria and Emily, whose expertise and enthusiasm for science brings an amazing energy and sense of adventure that will appeal to curious kids everywhere. At its core, science is about experimentation, imagination, and discovering new possibilities. By connecting creativity with STEAM learning, the series encourages kids to think beyond limits, build confidence, and celebrate collaboration, while reinforcing that creativity has no boundaries and plays an essential role in shaping future innovators.”
Calandrelli added, “Crayola has inspired generations of kids to think creatively, making them the perfect partner for a show that celebrates imagination, experimentation, and big ideas. Together, we’ll challenge kids to dream boldly, embrace curiosity, and discover what can happen when art and engineering collide.”
Jason Netter, CEO of Kickstart Entertainment, stated, “Crayola has spent generations inspiring kids to create without limits, which makes them the perfect partner to help us bring Create The Impossible to life.”
